On June 10th, 2021, YouTuber[1] Tanique Williams reuploaded a reupload of a video of a TikToker putting her daughter Giada's hair into a ponytail while the daughter cries. It is unclear when exactly the original video was uploaded to TikTok and how many views it garnered before it was deleted. On June 13th, TikToker[2] @user5727860793850 reuploaded it again, garnering over 700,000 views in three years.

The video's virality inspired TikTokers to post recreations of it in 2021. On June 25th, 2021, TikToker[3] @giannamjoyce posted a recreation of the video, altering the end by yelling and cursing at her friend to give her the ponytail, garnering over 275,000 likes in three years.
