About

#HobbyLobbyChallenge refers to a photo fad in which photographers take pictures of their models amidst merchandise in a Hobby Lobby store, making it appear as though the model is on a beautiful set.

Origin

On January 26th, 2018, Twitter user and photographer @_kelseymaggart[1] posted several tweets featuring photos she'd taken of models inside a Hobby Lobby. Her first tweet gained over 15,000 retweets and 104,000 likes (shown below).

I am not fully sure where the challenge is here. Is it to make it look as good as possible..? To make it look believable..? To get bad luck and have your model be terribly allergic to flowers and end up hospitalized, but still survive..? One way or another, seems harmless (barring that last joke) and fun enough for people into this stuff, so, good for them. It beats Snapchat/Instagram filter spamming, for certain.
