About

Jaiden, most commonly known online as Jaiden Animations is an artist and YouTube animator who mainly does cartoons talking about her life and experiences, as well her feelings on certain topics. Initially, she became popular when she created animations for the YouTuber iHasCupquake; since then, she has gained a large following garnering over 5 million subscribers on YouTube and has become one of the most popular story-time animators.

Online History

Jaiden created her Youtube channel on February 16th, 2014, though she didn't upload her first video until July of that year, where she did a proper introduction to her channel, showcasing what she wanted to with it (shown below).^[1]

Though some of her first steps in her youtube career were animating for iHasCupquake, uploading Pokémon speed-arts, and Q&As, she has since branched out to mainly creating story type videos where she tells stuff about her life, like her stories about school, her family, her childhood, her experiences with instruments, dogs, flirting, instruments, and other similar stuff (examples shown below).

Collaborations

Over time, she has formed friendships with other youtube animators, including TheOdd1sOut, TimTom, and SomeThingElseYT, creating a group named the Boise Squad. ^[2] She as well has had plenty of video collaborations with other YouTubers (shown below).

YouTube Rewind 2018

In the 2018 Youtube Rewind, Jaiden had a scene in which she referenced PewDiePie and his reclining chair. YouTube's decision to exclude PewDiePie from its Rewind was controversial to some viewers, so Jaiden's inclusion earned her praise from those who otherwise disliked the Rewind. For example, YouTuber Unwanted Commentary praised her inclusion in a video that gained over 447,000 views (shown below).

She later made a tweet expressing her gratitude and feeling of overwhelmed by all the sudden attention she got at the time.

Ari

"Ari" (born: April 29, 2016) is Jaiden's pet bird, which she jokingly often refers to them as a "dog", and has featured prominently in several of her videos as well as making lots of appearances on Jaiden's Twitter and Instagram. (shown below).

Reputation

Over time, Jaiden has become one of the most popular and famous YouTube animators, gaining 10 times the amount of subscribers she once had in less than a year, and most of her videos gaining more than 3 million views. Cementing a bright future for animation on YouTube, even when its algorithm tends to disfavor animators.

She has been featured on plenty of other YouTube channels, such as the Fine Brothers' "REACT" series as well as FootafaFerret's A Brief History series.
