I Love My Beautiful Little Cat or I Heart My Beautiful Little Cat refers to a series of memes based on an edit of the Chad Driver image in which the driver is distracted by an image on their phone and is about to run over a child screaming in front of this car. The image has been used as an exploitable format since November 2023, with users editing the image to reference various media and real events, sometimes using it in redraws as well.

Origin

On November 7th, 2023, X^[1] user @pissvortex posted an edit of the Chad Driver image, adding in several elements: a stock image of a screaming child in front of the car, a rearview mirror with a dangling disc with the writing "I ❤️ my beautiful little cat" hanging from it, and a phone with the picture of a cat held by the Chad Driver. In the rearview mirror, Coomer Man and a police car on the chase can be seen.

The post (shown below) received over 2,200 reposts and 18,000 likes in one year. On the same day, the user shared the image on Tumblr,^[2] where it received over 9,800 likes and reblogs in one year.

The cat in the original image, named Jimmy Hoffa, belongs to X user@pissvortex.^[3]

On November 12th, 2023, Redditor AnyHealyh7841 posted the earliest found edit of the image, a Neco-Arc meme that received over 60 upvotes in the /r/necoarc^[4] subreddit in one year (shown below).

On April 19th, 2024, Tumblr^[5] user placeboelysium posted the earliest found redraw of the meme, a Disco Elysium fan art that received over in seven months (shown below).

The format saw a further increase in popularity in the summer and fall of 2024, with notable spikes in use in mid-September and November 2024. For example, on September 15th, 2024, X^[6] user @escuisi posted an edit referencing Game of Thrones that received over 2,000 reposts and 19,000 likes two months (shown below).
