I'm In Nancy Pelosi's Office refers to an image edit series based on a tweet by Blaze TV host Elijah Schafer, who photographed a computer monitor while seated at a desk inside of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the storming of the Capitol Building in January 2021. Following the post, memers shared the photo of Pelosi's office, replacing what the computer monitor is displaying.

Origin

On January 6th, 2021, a mob of supporters of President Donald Trump violently took control of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., in hopes of stopping the certification of President-elect Joe Biden's win of 2020 United States Presidential Election.

That day, Blaze host Elijah Schaffer tweeted, ^[1] "BREAKING: I am inside Nancy Pelosi's office with the thousands of revolutionaries who have stormed the building. To put into perspective how quickly staff evacuated, emails are still on the screen along side a federal alert warning members of the current revolution" (shown below). He later deleted the tweet.

That day, people began posting parodies of the tweet, replacing the image on the computer screen with other humor websites. For example, Twitter^[2] user @gmacho tweeted the photo with the website Ssense on the monitor. The post received more than 3,600 likes and 600 retweets in less than 24 hours (shown below, left).

Throughout the day on Twitter, people continued to share variations of the meme (examples below, center and right).

Additionally, that day, an anonymous 4chan ^[3] user published a blank template of the meme, asking others "what game was she playing /v/" (shown below).

That day, StayHipp^[4] published an article about the meme.
