I'm the X elitest

The "I'm the X elitest" copypasta came about after images of user whatevachild's infamous cosplay of Homestuck character Jake English circulated around on Tumblr during the month of April 2013. Followers and other Tumblr users alike called the cosplay perfect, amazing, and deemed it worthy of their headcanons. However, come early May, whatevachild lost the respect of many followers old and new, and a great majority of Tumblr, due to certain responses to questions asked by fans. He made claims that "it does not take 'alot of work' to make 'any' cosplay" and complaints have been made about his opinions on how cosplay should be "canon." The controversy of said opinion is whether or not a cosplayer ought to have the right (canon) body type, gender, height, weight, etc. He has been, in his ask box (anonymously and directly), for a lack of a better term, called out and insulted. Not long after, one of his posts in particular became infamous: "im sorry, you must not know who i am. im joey. the cosplay elitest. and i dont have time for talk of cosplay that isnt canon. i cosplay hard. i cosplay with passion. and i cosplay correctly. this is a passion. this is a talent. and this is somthing i do not have shit-heads suggest for me to “hey dude do this” casually with no reasoning behind it." The message has been copy pasted several times, often with a different picture and replaced words.
There are of course that have defended him, and they too receive some hate. The large majority of Tumblr just doesn't seem to care much, as it appears to have become old news fast.
