In the year of 1989 a small and little known Company named the " Karvina Corporation" released a game strange little computer game simply named "KillSwitch".KillSwitch was an Early example of the survival horror genre. It was said to give similarities to games such as Myst and Silent Hill. It is said that few people have played this obscure game and there's one supposed reason so few have played such a game:It could delete itself upon completion. When you booted up KillSwitch players were given the option of playing as either a visible woman named "Porto" or an invisible fire breathing demon named "Ghast",Ghast wasn't just invisible to the NPC's that populated the game but was invisible to the player also and no player has been able to successfully complete the game as Ghast. Both Ghast and Porto had unique abilities, which changed the gaming experience completely depending on who the character chose to use.For example Porto would shrink and grow randomly without the player's control and Ghast could breathe fire.
Porto's story-line is that she awakens in the dark with wounds on her knees and elbows and no idea how she got there. As she searches for a way out of this strange dark place, it becomes apparent that she is moving through the levels of a coal mine at which she was once an employee. The mine has now been shut and is now populated with demons
Eventually, Porto escapes with a tape recorder containing the mine’s terrible story. But as she crawls through the final tunnel, the screen goes white.
Which is the end of the game.
The game eventually fell into obscurity for simply one reason:It never existed….
