Kosuke Kurumizawa is one of the main antagonists of The 25th Ward: The Silver Case.

He is an Observer who harnesses Kamui Uehara's power to attain a post-physical level of reality.

Observers are able to shape reality with their Observation, and remove weaker Observers' powers.

In Jun 15, 2020. Tumblr user (wingupingu) posted ther very first meme making fun of the seriousness of the charcater and his ability to "observe".

It was a unsharped image macro of Kosuke Kurumizawa with the subtitle: "IM BOUT TO JUST START OBSERVING MUHHFUCKAS".

Spread

The image "IM BOUT TO JUST START OBSERVING MUHHFUCKAS" was known and very used on the "Kill The Past" community of Goichi Suda (Suda51) fans with any more recognition.

During 2021, the Twitter account MATAR O PASSADO PORTUGAL (S51Portugal) know for spreading "Kill The Past" memes, made a frequent use of the Kurumizawa portrait among users, making commonly used as a mocking of an "emotionless serious suited man".

Later on, in Sep 6, 2021. The same account made a trend around this character called the "Kurumizawa Day" calling out all users changing their profile pictures to the same portrait of Kurumizawa. This made a lot of confusion between Twitter users not related to this community as well as many artists made drawings, videos or memes about this trend even taking the meme out of the platform like "Discord".
