About
Kristy's Flyer, also known as Is This Not the Most Brilliant Idea Yet?, is a series of photoshopped image macros featuring the character Kristy Thomas in a scene from the 1995 comedy-drama family film adaptation of The Baby-Sitters Club showing a flyer to her friends. Starting April 2021, edits of the image in which various jokes, statements and opinions were photoshopped onto the flyer have been circulated online.
Origin
The memorable scene was originally featured in a segment from The Baby-Sitters Club wherein BSC President Kristy Thomas (played by Schuyler Fisk) shows a flyer she found to her friends that advertises the Stoneybrook Summer Camp for Seniors. A clip of the scene was uploaded as part of a Fandango Staff Picks compilation of camp-themed movies to Facebook by Fandango on May 6, 2021 (shown below, the scene in the compilation starts at 0:03 and ends at 0:25).
Kristy Thomas: "OK, new business. I have a brilliant idea." [shows off a flyer and smiling)
Mary Anne Spier: [sitting down] "Stoneybrook Summer Camp for Seniors?"
Kristy Thomas: [loudly] "No! A Day Camp for our clients. It'll give us a new service to offer, it'll be a total gold mine, and most important, it's a way for us to stay together the whole summer. [shows the same flyer again] Is this not the most brilliant idea yet?"
