Let's Go, Lesbians is a memorable line said by comedian Billy Eichner on the television series Billy on the Street. The line has since been edited into the soundtrack of different video clips of people running.

Origin

On January 10th, 2013, YouTube account billyonthesteettv uploaded a video entitled "Lesbian Lightning Round" from the televison series Billy on the Street.[1] The video features Eichner and a group of lesbians asking questions of random people on in New York City. After each question, the group runs off with Eichner crying, "Let's go, lesbians!" The post (shown below) received more than 588,000 views in five and a half years.



On July 7th, 2018, Twitter [2] user @homeisarealsong tweeted a clip from the 2016 superhero film Captain America: Civil War. However, they replaced the dialogue from Civl War with a the clip from Billy on the Street. The post (shown below) received more than 38,000 retweets and 105,000 likes in one week.

Two days later, on July 9th, Eichner retweeted[3] the video and said, "Hey @ChrisEvans this is what happened when someone put audio from Billy on the Street into Captain America." The post (shown below, left) received more than 7,000 retweets and 48,000 likes in one week.

Evans responded, "That’s exactly what I was going for in that moment. I’m glad someone picked up on my inner monologue." The tweet[4] (shown below, right) received more than 24,000 retweets and 124,000 likes in one week.

On July 10th, Twitter[8] user @ggrimesrhee edited the dialogue into the film Avengers: Infinity War. The post (shown below) received more than 5,900 retweets and 14,000 likes in six days.
