Lmfao That's an Old, OLD Ancient Guardian. Look At The Eyes. You Can Tell… Chills is a viral tweet and catchphrase originally posted in late October 2025 by X / Twitter user @c0smicempr3ss in reaction to a video of a never-before-seen "white Iberian lynx" photographed in southern Spain. The serious tone of the tweet prompted a number of copycat posts that mimicked the phrasal template and copypasta in late October and early November 2025.

Origin

On October 29th, 2025, X^[1] user @c0smicempr3ss quoted a post that read, "A photographer in southern Spain captured what is believed to be the first-ever white Iberian lynx, a leucistic big cat so rare it seems almost mythical. Already one of the world’s rarest cats, the Iberian lynx was pulled back from the brink of extinction after its population fell below 100 two decades ago." Leucism is a genetic condition that causes loss of pigmentation and white colors in animals.

The quote-tweet read, "Lmfao that’s an old, OLD ancient guardian. Look at the eyes. You can tell.. chills," gathering over 13 million views and 130,000 likes in five days.

The tweet prompted a number of bemused reactions, as seen in an October 30th, 2025, tweet by X^[2] user @___soltu that read, "Are you guys ok ???," and gathered over 90,000 likes in four days. The user also replied to their own tweet with a photo of a lizard and a joke mimicking the original viral phrase.

On October 31st, X^[3] user @i_zzzzzz tweeted, "Easy to laugh at this but when you watch the video it’s clearly an ancient guardian," gathering over 10,000 likes in three days.

Several internet users reacted to the tweet and recreated the copypasta in late October and November 2025, as seen in an October 30th, 2025, post by X^[7] user @holzawn featuring Emma Stone that gathered over 13,000 likes in four days.

On October 30th, 2025, X^[4] user @glittergibbon quoted a photo of Uni the black cat, writing, "Lmfao that’s an old, OLD ancient guardian. Look at the eyes. You can tell.. chills," and gathering over 11,000 likes in four days.

On November 1st, X^[5] user @holzawn altered the original copypasta and tweeted, "Lmfao that’s an old, OLD tapeworm on the floor. Look at the segments. You can tell.. chills." The post gathered over 1,000 likes in two days.

On November 2nd, 2025, X^[6] user @tonyhawktruther quoted a video of a very fluffy, fat white possum, writing, "Lmfao that’s an old, OLD ancient guardian. Look at the eyes. You can tell.. chills," and gathering over 48,000 likes in a day.
