The acronym started to spread through thirst trap videos on TikTok in November 2022 challenging viewers to decipher it. On November 18th, 2022, TikToker[1] @sp1cygirl3 posted a thirst trap video captioned, "If you can read this… LMSYCUYCDMT" garnering over 85,000 views in five days (shown below). This is the earliest known video sharing the acronym.

The acronym spread across TikTok over the following days in very similar thirst trap videos, often alongside the caption, "If you can read this…" followed by the acronym. On November 19th, 2022, TikToker[2] @lilbunniexox posted a video where she uses the acronym, garnering over 930,000 views in four days (shown below).
