It is unclear who started the "Lockjaw" trend on TikTok. The earliest known related video is a makeup glow up video posted by TikToker[1] @muslimamua on January 20th, 2025, in which she shows herself without makeup, then with makeup as Sir Mix-a-Lot sings "lockjaw," garneing over 40,000 views in a week.

On January 22nd, TikToker[2] @zakdanielofficial posted a video where he shows the glow up he had from 2020 compared to 2025, transitioning to his 2025 photo when the lyric "lockjaw" is sang, garnering over 4.3 million views in a week. This is the earliest known video following the specific 2020 vs. 2025 glow up trend.
