Mango On A Fork refers to a TikTok video created by user @alejandwo in which he takes a bite out of a peeled mango on a fork and makes a horrified face briefly before the video ends. The clip later became used in remixes in which people added noise to his face.

Origin

As Alejandwo's account was deleted,[1] it is unclear when the video was first posted. The earliest known repost of the TikTok appeared on /r/TikTokCringe[2] on February 24th, 2020. The clip was reuploaded to TikTok on July 14th, 2020 by an account dedicated to reuploading his videos (shown below).

Spread

The video did not start becoming a meme until a year later. Around late May of 2021, a clip of the video edited to add singing at the end began spreading on YouTube (example shown below).

June 10th, 2021, TikToker @jaiplusdinspilavidmamr added singing to the end of the video, gaining over 900,000 views (shown below).

The video inspired further parodies on YouTube. On July 19th, user ArchaeliusLad posted a version showing "all endings," gaining over 4,000 views (shown below, left). On June 7th, 2021, user Jack's World The Second posted an animation of the video, gaining over 7,000 views (shown below, right).
