Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate Poster Parodies is an exploitable meme using the official movie poster to the Dreamworks film Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate. The meme replaces The Doom Syndicate with different characters or groups.
Origin
Shortly after Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate was announced on February 3rd, 2024, the film's official poster was posted to Twitter by The Hollywood Handle[1] (shown below, left). Later that day, Twitter user Minions_Fanboy[2] posted a blank template of the poster (shown below, right) with the text "go wild".
Spread
Shortly after Minions_Fanboy's post, users on Twitter began editing the poster such that "The Doom Syndicate" was replaced with other characters serving as Megamind's antagonist. For example, on February 4th, 2024, Twitter user @Best4Liberty[3] posted an edit of the poster featuring MrBeast, gaining over 160 retweets and 4,500 likes (shown below, left). The same day, user @OOCCouchGags[4] posted a parody featuring Shadow the Hedgehog, gaining over 2,100 retweets and 20,000 likes (shown below, right).
