About

Mofufu is a made-up character created by Hololive virtual YouTuber Nerissa Ravencroft to self-insert herself as the third sister of Fuwamoco's twin sisters with green eyes and purple-ish color on her hair. The character gained popularity in the community in mid-March 2026 after Nerissa revealed the Mofufu's design on her Twitter / X, which inspired the artist to drawing fan arts of her between Fuwamoco's.

Origin

On November 1st, 2025, Nerissa Ravencroft through her YouTube^[1] started livestream titled "Happy Halloween /w Advent! | VRChat", which she with the other Hololive's Advent members such as Shiori Novella, Koseki Bijou, and Fuwamoco gathered in VRchat to celebrating Halloween. In mark 1:27:20, Nerissa asking Fuwamoco about what-if scenario if they have third sister, then she suggest them by naming her Mofufu.

On January 17th, 2026, Fuwamoco through their YouTube^[2] started livestream titled "【SOUNDHOUNDS JAPAN TRAVEL｜白川郷旅行雑談】snowy hinamizawa trip?! 真っ白の白川郷ー！！❄️ 【FUWAMOCO】". In mark 5:48, Fuwamoco introduced themselves with Nerissa jokingly introduce herself as the third sister Mofufu.

On March 17th, 2026, Nerissa Ravencroft from her Twitter / X^[3] uploaded drawing of Mofufu's design, with green eyes, long blonde hair and some purple on it. The post received more than 22,000 likes in one week. In the comment section, Nerissa^[4] replied that she made the character as her "Fuwamoco's self-insert OC" (original character).

The character gained popular in the community which the artists drawing fan arts of her. For example on March 17th, 2026, Twitter / X^[5] user @JTNintendoFan64 uploaded Fallenchungus' Bro Visited His Friend edit to depicting Fuwamoco's reaction after hearing Mofufu. The post received more than 19,000 likes in one week.

On the next day, Twitter / X^[6] user @raresauce_ uploaded fan art of Fuwamoco's introduction with addition of Mofufu. The post received more than 31,000 likes in one week.

On March 22nd, 2026, Twitter / X^[7] user @Kukie_nyan uploaded Mofufu fan art with Mococo looking suspiciously. The post received more than 14,000 likes in three days.
