MoistCr1TiKal's "Situation is Crazy" Redraws refer to memes and redraws inspired by a running gag in reference to YouTuber Cr1TiKal in which internet users post jokes that follow the phrasal template, "The X Situation is Y," "The X Situation is Crazy" or "The X Situation is Insane," which are also commonly used as catchphrases online. MoistCr1Tikal's reaction channel is known for making videos following the title format, "The [Trending Topic] Situation is Crazy," with the template parodied by artist and X / Twitter user @doctornowhere_ in March 2024. Cr1TiKal later posted a video titled, "MoistCr1TiKaL Situation is Crazy," inspiring a redraw trend in which people insert their preferred characters into the YouTube thumbnail using the snowclone.

Origin

YouTuber MoistCr1TiKal (also known as Charles "Cr1TiKaL" White Jr. and Penguinz0) gathered a reputation for posting YouTube videos with titles that follow the phrasal template, "The X Situation is Y" in the early 2020s.

One example of this trend is a June 21st, 2023, video about the OceanGate Titanic submarine accident, titled, "Titanic Submarine Situation Is Crazy."^[8] The video gathered over 3.8 million views in two years. On October 14th, Cr1TiKal posted a video with a similar title, "SSSniperWolf Situation is Crazy," discussing the SSSniperwolf doxxing Jacksfilms controversy, which gathered over 9 million views in two years.^[9]

On September 3rd, 2023, Redditor^[3] /u/Educational_Ebb8163 posted a crude drawing parodying Cr1TiKal's video style and titles to the subreddit /r/coaxedintoasnafu, gathering over 3,000 upvotes in a year.

On March 15th, 2024, Twitter / X^[1] user @doctornowhere_ posted a drawing captioned, "had a dream where moistcritikal got exposed for something terrible and so he made a video about his own drama with a cartoony disguise and no one knew it was him." The post gathered over nearly 300,000 likes in nine months.

On July 23rd, Cr1TiKal then posted a video^[2] titled, "MoistCr1TiKaL Situation is Crazy," reacting to a misunderstanding in which people thought he was leaving YouTube after the beef between him and controversial influencer Sneako erupted online.

On August 2nd, 2024, DeviantArt^[4] user @MikehawkIguess posted artwork featuring the character Susie from Deltarune alongside text that read, "Toby Fox Situation is Crazy." The redraw parodying Cr1TiKal's titles and video style received over 860 views and 20 favorites in four months.

On October 17th, YouTuber JacksFilms posted a video^[5] titled, "The job situation is crazy," to his YouTube channel Jackisanerd, gathering over 100,000 views in three months.

On November 10th, 2024, Redditor^[6] /u/Decent-Barber-7431 posted a meme using Cr1TiKal's thumbnail as an exploitable to the subreddit /r/HistoryMemes, writing, "Italy in the 16th century be like," gathering over 4,000 upvotes in two months.

On January 21st, 2025, a tweet^[7] by X user @Sedisedi143 in reference to the Kronii Meme Coin controversy also used the format, gathering over 9,000 likes in three days.
