Thirsty social media users have found a new way to offer up too much information about who they find attractive thanks to the viral copypasta, "Raw, Next Question."

The comment has been getting used online since the late 2010s, but it's only recently started blowing up thanks to TikTok and Twitter / X, where it's inspiring memes and spam comments.

But what exactly does "Raw, Next Question" mean and why is it getting so popular? Here's what you need to know.

What Does 'Raw, Next Question' Mean?

The phrase "Raw, Next Question" has been used online since as early as 2019 on X / Twitter. Mostly, the phrase is used by both women and men as a dirty way of expressing how attractive you find someone. In specific, "raw" is used to suggest that you want to be intimate with the person you're making the comment toward without protection.

The comment started appearing more and more frequently online throughout the 2020s on Twitter, as users began leaving it on posts sharing photos or videos of attractive people and characters. Then, in late 2024, the comment started going viral on TikTok in the same way, usually as a spam comment.

How Is 'Raw, Next Question' Used In Memes?

"Raw, next question" is mostly used as a comment, but it's also used in memes on both Twitter and TikTok. On Twitter, users have been posting photos of people they find attractive under the quote. They've also been sharing phrases that turn them on, such as "atta girl," followed by, "raw, next question."

On TikTok, the phrase has recently become the subject of a few different types of memes.

The most popular format sees TIkTokers post purposefully embarrassing videos acting out a skit where a waitress asks them how they like their steak and they answer, "raw, next question," revealing that they're not talking about the steak.

This has gone viral a few times, with each of the videos being fantasy football punishments, meaning something they were mad to do after performing poorly at fantasy football.
