Mr. Krabs' "I Like Money" refers to a scene from the 2004 film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie where Mr. Krabs says he opened a second restaurant because he likes money. The scene became the subject of memes in 2016 and is often used to point out greed.
Origin
The film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was released on November 19th, 2004. In the film, Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) has opened a second restaurant. A journalist interviews him about it, whereupon he simply responds in non sequiturs, shamelessly flaunting his greed.
The scene has been uploaded to YouTube several times, earning hundreds of thousands of views. The below version was uploaded on November 1st, 2017, gaining 300,000 in four years.[1]
