Spread

Mr. Krabs has been a recurring character on Spongebob throughout the show's run. He is voiced by voice actor Clancy Brown, who described the voice as "piratey with a little Scottish brogue." Critics have been divided in their reviews of the characters. Some have criticized him for being a stereotype of a greedy capitalist. Polish scholar Barbara Czarniawska called him "a ruthless capitalist who exploits his customers and his workers alike." Political scientist Joseph J. Foy described Krabs as the true villain in the series. Other critics have praised Krabs for being a single father and for being protective of things he values, such as his business, family, and his relationship with the character Mrs. Puff.

“Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs?”

Are you feeling it now Mr. Krabs? is a quote from Spongebob Squarepants often remixed in videos parodying its suggestion of vague sexual innuendo. The quote originated from the 28th episode of season 3 of the American animated series Spongebob Squarepants, originally aired January 24th, 2003. In the episode, Mr. Krabs has a mid-life crisis, and Spongebob and Patrick attempt to return Mr. Krabs to his more youthful demeanor by taking him out for a night on the town. Throughout this experience, Spongebob repeatedly asks Mr. Krabs if he is feeling revived by saying, "Are you feeling it yet?"

I was turning this crab with the handle of a knife so I could grab it easy to cook, the crab disarmed me and is now wielding a knife. Unlike . Comment . Moar Krabs

The YouTube Poop video fad known as Moar Krabs and sometimes "Morbid Krabs" typically consists of a short montage of a high-resolution image of Mr. Krabs, taken from the Spongebob Squarepants episode titled "Jellyfish Hunter," changing appearance frequently through various photoshop effects. The song "Gentle Breeze" from the Nintendo DS game Trauma Center is typically paired up with the video. Various iterations have expanded the fad outside of this format. The detailed image of Krabs that is used in these videos appears for less than a second during a montage in which SpongeBob catches jellyfish for Mr. Krabs, who constantly demands "more."

Squeaky Boots Remixes

Mr. Krabs Squeaky Boots Remixes refers to a series of videos remixing a scene from Spongebob Squarepants in which a customer attempts to order something from the character Mr. Krabs, the owner of The Krusty Krab. In the episode, Mr. Krabs is wracked with guilt because he stole Spongebob's beloved squeaky boots, so when the customer attempts to order, Mr. Krabs hears the squeak of the boots. In the remixes, the audio of the squeaking boots is replaced with various other audio clips. The clip comes from the Spongebob Squarepants episode "Squeaky Boots," which aired September 4th, 1999. In the episode, Mr. Krabs swindles Spongebob into buying a pair of boots. Spongebob falls in love with the boots, wearing them constantly. The boots make a hideous squeaking sound, which annoys Mr. Krabs, leading him to steal and bury them underneath the floorboards of The Krusty Krab. In a play on "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe, Krabs' guilt over stealing the boots causes him to constantly hear their squeak, climaxing in a moment where a customer attempts to order a meal and Mr. Krabs can only hear the squeak (filmed upload of the scene shown below).

The clip grew into a source of some popular remix videos in June of 2017. On June 13th, YouTuber The Dinkster uploaded a remix that features an ear rape version of "Fireflies", gaining only 284 views. On June 14th, Tumblr user bob-belcher did the same, gaining over 101,000 notes. The following day, it was uploaded to YouTube by Mitchelskater and gained 90,000 views (shown below).
