On December 1st, 1998, the Bollywood movie Wajood, directed by N. Chandra and starring Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit, was released. The film contained a scene where Patekar's character Malhar makes tea, washes dishes and sweeps the floor as his father berates him (seen below).^[1]

In 2023, the clip was used in combination with the song "Pee Loon"^[2] with the earliest video of the meme being posted by Twitter^[3] user @kadaipaneeeer on March 5th, 2023 (seen below). The video gathered over 15,000 likes in a month.
