About
New York Jets Teen TikTok Duet refers to a viral TikTok video uploaded by the NFL team the New York Jets in which they duet 19-year-old TikToker Addison Rae[2] in January 2020. The video which features the illusion that Addison Rae shoots a football from her butt was criticized on Twitter for being inappropriate.
Origin
On January 13th, 2020, Twitter user @isabella_nowak reposted the New York Jets[3] TikTok video shortly after it was uploaded, according to The Daily Dot[1]. The Twitter user captioned the video "Whoever runs the Jet’s official Tik Tok account is about to be promoted or fired" and gained over 88,800 likes and 10,000 retweets in three days.

Precursor
In December 2019, TikTok users began dueting Addison Rae's dance to Shake Dat by Loui (feat. Lil Jay). The videos typically feature the illusion that something shoots out of her butt when she bends over. On December 23rd, 2019, TikToker @__micel76__ gained over four million likes in several weeks for posting a duet suggesting that she is shooting out a baby (shown below, left). Others like @daytondurocher dueted with Addison Rae suggesting that she's passing them a ball from her butt (shown below, right).

Spread
Soon after the video was posted to TikTok is was taken down but many Twitter users reposted the video. Twitter user @Crayola_papi reposted the video with the caption, "THIS IS AN OFFICIAL TIKTOK OF THE NY JETS THIS IS A $3.2 BILLION FOOTBALL TEAM I-" which received over 10,600 likes and 1,400 retweets in three days.

That same day, Barstool Sports reposted the video accumulating over 78,800 likes in three days on Twitter (shown below). Addison Rae[4] also retweeted @isabella_nowak's video.
