Nikocado Avocado Aztec Temple Mukbang refers to a photoshopped image of Nikocado Avocado having a cannibal mukbang inside of an Aztec temple. The image, which is often referred to as a cursed image, was first posted to X / Twitter in August 2021 by @stgggs and became the subject of memes over the following years. As a meme, it is often used to express a feeling of dread. The image of Nikocado is from a June 2021 fried chicken mukbang video.
Origin
On August 5th, 2021, X[1] user @stgggs posted a photoshopped image of an Aztec temple surrounded by a red sky. A box surrounds the top of the temple and points to the bottom half of the image, which shows Nikocado Avocado having a mukbang where he eats the bodies inside the temple. The post gained over 600 likes in four years.
On September 30th, the same X[13] user posted an expanded version of the meme, garnering over 420 likes in the same span of time.
The image of Nikocado used in the meme depicts him eating hot fried chicken from KFC and comes from a video uploaded to his YouTube[12] channel, More Nikocado, on June 9th, 2021, garnering over 1.1 million views in four years.

The image became the further subject of memes over the following years. On February 19th, 2022, u/mr_chair_sniffer posted a version of the meme to /r/okbuddyretard,[2] garnering over 920 upvotes in three years. On June 4th, X[3] user @ResNeXtGuesser, a bot that guesses what memes are, made a post guessing that the meme was a birdhouse with 2.14% confidence, garnering over 4,000 likes in the same rough span of time.
On November 27th, Tumblr[4] user images-that-are-only-cursed posted the original image, garnering over 2,500 notes in the same span of time.
On October 30th, 2023, u/srirachatoilet posted a version of the meme to /r/distressingmemes[5] with an added caption reading, "the soil is dry and the elder has chosen you to be the sacrifice for the gods you plead but it's no use you eat your final meal before they mutilate you to appease their god," garnering over 1,400 upvotes in just over a year.
On May 15th, 2024, Instagram[6] user spookid posted a version of the meme reading, "How it felt smoking weed when it was illegal," garnering over 7,500 likes in nine months.
On August 7th, X[7] user @bongoism posted the original meme, writing, "how it feels trying to eat lunch when ur co worker won’t stop talking to u," garnering over 142,000 likes in six months. On September 11th, it was reposted by Tumblr[8] user thecryptkeeper alongside the cellphone tower radiation meme, writing, "love whatever this genre of nightmare images is," garnering over 12,600 notes in five months.
On November 30th, X[9] user @sanstitre2000 posted the meme, writing, "I genuinely need to know what this meme is supposed to mean it's killing me," garnering over 3,600 likes in three months. On January 7th, 2025, X[10] user @LHuxlux posted the meme, writing, "Homestuck planets be like," garnering over 1,100 likes in a month.
On February 1st, X[11] user @NebsGoodTakes posted the meme next to the SpongeBob In Silent Hill meme, writing, "does anyone have more images like this," garnering over 376,000 likes in three days.
