About
Notej vs. Notfromco is an ironic feud between TikTokers @nnotej and @notfromco, which has been touted as a sequel to the Kumalala vs. Savesta meme. The feud began in late March 2024 when Notfromco denounced comparisons between himself and Notej in a video, inspiring back-and-forth response videos between the two, as well as memes pitting them against each other.
Origin
On March 24th, 2024, TikToker[1] @notfromco posted a selfie video on the beach captioned, "Notej who?" The caption is inspired by commenters claiming that NotFromCo resembles Notej, another TikToker (shown below, left). The video gained over 417,000 views in three days.
That day, Notej responded with a TikTok[2] stitching NotFromCo's video, saying "it's war" after the video. He jokingly claims that NotFromCo stole his idea of making beach TikToks, garnering over 1.6 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

The TikTokers continued to make back-and-forth videos over the following days, also inspiring memes about their feud. Similarly to the Kumalala vs. Savesta feud, the videos largely consist of shots of each creator thirst-trapping at the beach or in the water while lip dubbing to various songs.
On March 24th, 2024, @nnotej posted a lip dub video to TikTok[3] captioned "who did it better?" that gained over 667,000 views in three days (shown below, left). On March 25th, TikToker[4] @notfromco posted a similar video with the same caption, garnering over 548,000 views in two days (shown below, right).

On March 26th, @nnotej then posted a skit about the feud to TikTok[5] that garnered over 1.5 million views in a day (shown below, left).
Later that day, @notfromco posted a copycat skit to TikTok[6] that garnered over 2.2 million views in a day (shown below, right). Soon after, @nnotej posted a video to TikTok[7] complaining about NotFromCo stealing his video idea, saying he "takes it too far," garnering over 500,000 views in a day.

That day, TikToker[8] @juhsverse posted a "vs." video edit of the two, captioned, "Who mopping?" garnering over 370,000 views in a day (shown below). On the same day, TikToker[9] @hyperstrides posted a video explaining the feud, garnering over 210,000 views in a day.

Kumalala Savesta, also known as Kumala Savesta, Kumalala Kumalala Savesta or Kumalala vs. Savesta, is a TikTok song and sound that went viral on the platform after a slowed + reverb remix was uploaded in early 2022. The song was inspired by a Kervo Dolo TikTok about how dudes get bullied in prison. The hip-hop song was used in multiple skits in April 2022. In May, TikTokers began portraying "Kumalala" and "Savesta" as two fictional rivals battling against each other in Kumalala vs. Savesta videos.
