About
Online School TikToks are viral TikTok videos about being in an online class during a period in which most high schools and colleges moved to online classes due to the coronavirus outbreak. The videos, which were wholesome content involving teachers or comedic Zoom tutorials, became popular on TikTok and Twitter in March 2020.
Origin
On March 11th, 2020, TikTok @marcliq uploaded the first coronavirus related online school TikTok video in which he asks his teacher if he can go to the bathroom (shown below). The video garnered over 197,200 likes in 15 days.

Spread
On March 12th, 2020, TikToker @eitan uploaded a TikTok video about his day of online schooling and garnered over 575,800 likes in 14 days (shown below, left). That same day, TikToker @vladimir_pudding_ uploaded a video in which he changes his Zoom background to be a picture of himself to fool his class (shown below, center). The video gained over 781,00 likes in 14 days. TikToker @toenailhoovez uploaded a video in which he pretends to be frozen during a class presentation which received over 1.4 million likes in 14 days (shown below, right).
