About

Pastel Y La Silla or Cake and Chair refers to a controversial 2013 tweet made by the Barcelona Guàrdia Urbana (city police) in which someone mistakenly shared an image of an inappropriate sexual joke involving two chairs, one with cake on it and one with a dildo, and the question, "Tienes que sentarte en una de las sillas y comerte lo que hay en la otra ¿En que silla te sientas?" (Eng. "You have to sit in one of the chairs and eat what is in the other. In what chair do you sit?"). In the following years, the image macro became a recurring meme shared and referenced by Spanish speakers on social media.
