About

Crossmauz is a German rave party streamer who went viral on social media in early April 2022 after a clip of him throwing a rave party, allegedly after killing an opponent, went viral on social media.

Online History

On January 20th, 2020, German streamer Crossmauz created his Twitch[1] account. starting streaming on September 20th, 2020. The streamer did not achieve initial popularity until April 2021, when Crossmauz adopted his current channel theme of streaming party music accompanied by laser and pyrotechnics show. Between April 27th and July 24th, 2021, the streamer grew his following from 419 to nearly 25,000 followers.[2]

On April 11th, 2022, Twitter user @kittyzandpichu wrote, ""just got killed by this kid on steam mw2 with twitch in his name and this is what i see," attaching a clip of Crossmauz throwing a rave on his stream. The clip went viral on the app, gaining over 19.6 million views, 73,500 retweets and 510,400 likes in three days (shown below).

The story of the clip provided by @kittyzandpichu is likely false, as Crossmauz hadn't streamed since March 25th, 2022, and had never streamed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In the following days, this and other clips of the streamer were widely shared on Twitter, TikTok and other social media. For example, on April 11th, eSports personality Jake Lucky shared the clip on Twitter,[3] with the tweet gaining over 21,700 retweets and 198,400 likes in three days. On the same day, Twitter[4] user @ohJustBear shared another clip of the streamer, with their post gaining over 1 million views, 2,600 retweets and 29,000 likes (shown below). Also on the same day, gaming news website Dexerto shared the clip on Twitter.[5]

The viral spread of the clips inspired memes on social media. For example, on April 12th, 2022, Twitter[5] account @ailmlab shared an Are Ya Winning, Son meme based on the clip (shown below).

Following the viral spread of the clips, Crossmauz' subscriber count on Twitch grew from 38,000 to 107,000 followers.

Personal Life

As of April 14th, 2022, Crossmauz[6] is 15 years old. He resides in Germany.
