Elizabeth 'Liz' Truss is a British Conservative Party politician who has became a subject to various memes mainly since 2014. Liz Truss has been subject to this due to her clumsiness and incompetence as a politician for her remarks to unimportant situations the government is currently in. Liz Truss posted a tweet on Twitter on June 21, 2018 where she noted that she 'became a meme'.
History
That Is A Disgrace
At the 2014 Conservative Party conference, Liz Truss made a keynote speech discussing the work she was doing as the Minister of Food and Rural Affairs, a title she held from 2014 until 2016. In the keynote speech she mentioned that the government were importing only two thirds of British cheese, something she claimed was a 'disgrace'.
Barking Patrol Dogs
In December 2018, Gatwick Airport was disrupted for nearly three days due to a drone striking the runway several times throughout the incident. As there was no resoultion to the incident, many people had tried to come up with ideas to stop the drone.
A Twitter user referred back to a speech by Liz Truss in the House of Commons back in 2016 where she suggested that patrol dogs that bark should be away to prevent drones from incidents similar to Gatwick – this subject rose during and after the incident with many people taking to Twitter to make fun of her comments.
