Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara) was best known for being the lead singer for the band, Queen. He was Britain's first asian rock star, as he grew up in India.

Freddie had been diagnosed with AIDS and never told the public for several years, on 22 November 1991 he had told Queen's manager Jim Beach to announce to the public about his AIDS on behalf of him. 24 hours after the announcement, he had died on 24 November 1991.
