JustAWormArt was commissioned more and more regularly throughout 2023 and 2024, often by other creators, to draw artwork of the subjects of their videos in his signature sweaty style. Notably, on May 11th, 2024, SomeOrdinaryGamers used a piece of commissioned artwork depicting Keffals in said style on a YouTube[3] video criticizing Keffals that gained over 587,000 views in two days (shown below).

Keffals vs. Mutahar "Transphobic Artwork" Controversy / Account Closure

On May 11th, 2024, the day SomeOrdinaryGamers uploaded his video about Keffals, Keffals made a post on X[4] accusing Mutahar of using a "transphobic caricature" of her (i.e. the JustAWormArt artwork) on his thumbnail (shown below, left).

The post led to discourse over whether or not the caricature was transphobic, with many defending JustAWormArt for depicting everyone in that style, not just trans people. That day, JustAWormArt posted a response to the drama denying claims that their art is transphobic (shown below, reuploaded).

On May 12th, JustAWormArt's X account was seemingly shut down or deleted. Although there is no official reason why it was deleted, some speculated that it was due to the backlash and criticism he received from those accusing him of being transphobic.

Just A Worm S @JustAWorm....10m: The cartoon I drew of Keffals isn't "Transphobic", if anything by my standards I went easy lmfao. People are just going after my cartoon because it's easier then addressing the contents of Mutahar's video. And to be clear, I have no intention of changing my style in the future. 17 75 388 Just A Worm S ♥ 8 @JustAWormArt There are also plenty of trans people who've asked me for unflattering drawings of themselves and think it's funny. It's just the difference between people who have a sense of humor about this kind of dumb s---, and those who don't.
