Louie Zong is a Los Angeles-based, New Orleans-born artist and musician best known for musical, animated short videos on YouTube, including Ghost Duet. He is also a storyboard artist for Netflix and worked on the series We Bare Bears.

History

Zong joined YouTube on February 10th, 2013.[1] His earliest extant videos are Game Grumps Animated videos in which he animated bits from Game Grumps episodes (examples shown below).


Over the following years, he continued finding success with Game Grumps Animated episodes, as well as animating segments from the My Brother, My Brother, and Me podcast. He also found success with original shorts, particularly a series of videos about helpful and musical ghosts. His most popular video to date is "Ghost Choir," released October 23rd, 2018, which has gained over 6.5 million views (shown below, left). On March 30th, 2018, he released another original, "Hello World," which went on to be his second most popular video to date with 3.6 million views (shown below, right).


He has also made several musical shorts about composition itself, such as "chord personalities" and "a thing about chords" (shown below).


Online Presence

In addition to his YouTube channel,[1] which has over 407,000 subscribers, Zong has a Twitter account[2] which has gained over 215,000 followers since Zong joined in March of 2014. He has a Soundcloud[3] account which has gained over 32,000 followers.
