Overview
Mama Owl or Mathmanx is a TikToker and teacher best known for her skits in which she acts out dramatic situations that often involve student trauma, playing all the roles herself. The stories are often submitted to her by fans. Mama Owl began posting in December 2021 and gained over 2.3 million followers over the next three years. In 2024, Mama Owl became the subject of trolling, criticism and memes for her content, including a skit from around August 2023 in which she acts out the assault of a trans student.
History
Mama Owl started posting content on her TikTok[1] page, @Mathmanx, in December 2021.[2] The TikToker gained a substantial following of over 2.3 million over the next few years, largely for her skit content in which she acts out dramatic stories, often about students and teachers, with many of her videos boasting millions of views each (examples shown below).

Trans Student SA Reenactment Video
Sometime in August 2023, Mama Owl posted a now-deleted skit in which she reenacted a story about a trans student who was assaulted by their substitute teacher. The video begins with Mama Owl, playing the substitute teacher, saying to the student, "You're going to pay your penance now." She then acts out the teacher pulling down the student's pants and the student running to tell the principal. The video was reuploaded by TikToker[3] @miomedia.bai4 on August 14th, 2023, garnering over 500,000 views in a year (shown below).

2024 Trolling / Criticism
In late June and early July 2024, TikTokers began trolling Mama Owl and making memes out of her content, while also criticizing her for the 2023 SA skit and several other actions. The criticism inspired users to spam "hold on Mama… I'm getting a call" in her comment sections, a reference to the Freakbob meme.
On June 30th, 2024, TikToker[4] @raiden4ever posted a clip of one of her videos with an overlayed caption reading, "Together we are Mama Owl," a reference to the "together we are FNAF" meme, garnering over 300,000 views in a day (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker[5] @musaandstellaa posted a video mocking the style of Mama Owl's content, garnering over 630,000 views in a day (shown below, right).

That day, Mama Owl posted a video to TikTok[6] claiming that the trolling started after she asked some viewers to stop spamming "The Brisket Song" on a TikTok Live stream and for claiming she's an atheist and purportedly "mocking Christianity" on the livestream, garnering over 4.5 million views in a day (shown below).
