Megan Amram is an Emmy-nominated American comedy writer and performer. In 2010, she became well known due to her Twitter[1] account @meganamram, which now has 1.12 million followers.

Career
After graduating from Harvard University[2] in 2010, with a degree in psychology, Amram went on to be a comedy writer. Her first gig was for the 2011 Oscars[3], with hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway. Amram has since worked on acclaimed shows such as Amazon series Transparent[4], HBO’s Silicon Valley[5] and the final three seasons of Parks and Recreation[6] from NBC Comedy. Other various shows include; Children’s Hospital[7], The Simpsons[8], Kroll Show[9], Annual Academy Awards[10], 2012’a MTV Movie Awards[11], Disney Channel[12], Funny or Die[13], and celebrity roasts[14]. In November 2015, Amram published her first book, “Science…for Her![15]”


Online Presence
Amram started tweeting jokes via Twitter in 2010. Due to her sense of humor and being able to portray it via a text platform, people in the show business industry started to follow her. Jordan Rubin asked Amram to write jokes for him for the 2011 Academy Awards, after which she was signed on to create jokes for the 2011 Oscars.
Since May 2017, Amram has tweeted “Today was the day Donald Trump finally became president.” Every day, along with various other jokes. In 2018, Amram was nominated for an Emmy for her web series “An Emmy for Megan”[16]. A series in which depicts Amram’s quest to win an Emmy.
