About
Nairo is the alias of competitive Super Smash Brothers player Nairoby Quezada. Nairo is best known for his consistency as a top professional competitor and for snapping fellow competitor ZeRo's 56 tournament win streak.
Online History
Quezada's history as a competitor traces back to as early as August 2010 where he competed at his first major, Apex 2010, at the age of 14. He would gain wide recognition amongst the competitive Super Smash Bros. Brawl community in 2012 for his 3rd placement at Apex 2012, the largest Brawl tournament of all time, being the highest placing American player at the tournament, losing only to the top 2 placing Japanese players, Kenta "Otori" Ishikawa in winners, who would go on to win the same tournament, and Yuta "Nietono" Uejima, who defeated Quezada in a runback set in losers (shown below). Quezada would show his consistency as a top Brawl competitor by winning his first major tournament, SKTAR, later that same year, along with being a force in teams play with long-time teams partner Wyatt "ADHD" Beekman. He would follow up with impressive placings at other major tournaments, along with winning Apex 2014, defeating ZeRo in the grand finals of such tournament (shown below).
With the release of Super Smash Bros for Wii U, Quezada would continue his consistency as a top player with top placements throughout the game's lifespan. Quezada would cement his status as a top threat in said series by defeating ZeRo at MLG World Finals 2015 in grand finals and ending his 56 tournament win streak (shown below).
Reputation
During his days of playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Nairoby Quezada was a highly aggressive Meta Knight player, which was a contrast from the highly defensive oriented play that developed over the course of competitive Brawl's lifespan. With his consistency transferring over to competitive Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Quezada would end up placing second on the Panda Global Ranking 100," a ranking of the top 100 players across the course of the game's lifespan, behind ZeRo[2].
