Indeed Lawsuit

On April 23rd, 2023, Indeed filed a lawsuit against Asif Khan in the state of Texas, accusing him of using the company's interview app to generate content for personal gain, harassing unsuspecting recruiters, and violating other laws. Indeed noted that they were first made aware of Khan's presence when they received a complaint from a user in September 2020, saying that he appeared for an interview "shirtless and acting inappropriately."[4]

Indeed also found that Khan had violated their terms of service by making multiple accounts with fake names and information to apply for hundreds of jobs, 90 of which were posted to his TikTok.

Pivot To 'First Amendment Audit' Content

In 2023, Khan pivoted to making "First Amendment Audit" content, filming in public spaces until he received pushback from workers or police. Khan saw a spike in views after shifting to First Amendment Audit style content, gathering over 240,000 views on a March 16th, 2023 post[6] titled, "Chill Indian Guy Quietly Films the A/C in a Library and This Happens" (seen below, left).

On April 4th, 2023, he posted a video[7] titled, "This Might be the Funniest "First Amendment Audit" of 2023," gathering over 320,000 views in eight months (seen below, right).
