Phrasing refers to a catchphrase and a running gag in animated TV series Archer, often said by main protagonist Sterling Archer and other characters in reference to sexually suggestive wording. Online, the phrase and image macros containing it have been used reactions.

Origin

On January 28th, 2010, episode four "Killing Utne" of season one of American TV series Archer premiered.^[1] In one scene of the episode, titular character Sterling Archer comments "phrasing?" after hearing an unintentional double entendre said by character Malory Archer.

- And you said no dates!
- I said no such thing!
- Well, your mouth did!
- Well, your mouth better get over there and make Torvald happy!
- Umm, phrasing?
