About
Queer Eye Meets AOC refers to a meeting between 4/5 members of the cast of Queer Eye and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in Washington D.C. The Queer Eye cast visited Washington to advocate for the Equality Act, an amendment to the Civil Rights Act which would prohibit discrimination based on gender and sexual identity. While there, they met with influential Democratic lawmakers including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi, leading to parodies of the meeting in the form of object labeling memes and videos.

After photos of the meeting made it on social media, Twitter users parodied the meeting. Comedian Alyssa Limperis posted a video parody of Ocasio-Cortez meeting the cast, gaining over 4,300 retweets and 30,000 likes (shown below).
