On August 20th, 2024, X[1] user @Shiiny77 posted two leaked clips of an upcoming operator (playable character) for a future season of the 2015 tactical shooter video game Rainbow Six Siege. The operator is a wheelchair-bound woman whose unique ability is control of two military androids, between whom she can switch. The post (shown below) received over 2,800 reposts and 23,000 likes in two days.

Later on August 20th, 2024, the videos were shared in the /r/Rainbow6[2] subreddit, with the post garnering over 3,800 upvotes in two days.

In the following days, the inclusion of a wheelchair-bound character in a tactical shooter became a subject of discussions, jokes and memes on social media.
