Rem is a character in the video game Deadlock where he was added in January 2026. He quickly gained a meme following for his cute child mannerisms.

Origin

On January 22, 2026, a major update to Deadlock was announced which included six new heroes, and Rem was one of them.^[1] The six heroes was subsequently released over the coming days, of which Rem was released January 26, 2026.^[2]

His official character description is:

An accidental stowaway from the world of dreams, Rem has found himself stranded in the city that never sleeps. Driven by his curious nature, Rem and his helpful friends have been seen wandering across the five boroughs in search of a way back home. So if you ever find yourself dozing off while taking the Blue line home from work, maybe you’ve just had an encounter with one of the Cursed Apple’s newest denizens.

Rem is a young child from a different dimension and is trying to find his way back home. He is a creature of an unknown species that seems to personify sleeping and dreams.
