Sam Parker's "Testing Hate Speech Filter" Tweets refers to a series of tweets shared by American politician Sam Parker in which he tried to “test” the Twitter / X hate speech filter by writing controversial phrases like “Fuck America,” “Fuck Jews” and many other hateful sentences. On December 24th, 2023, American politician Senator Sam Parker posted an X[1] thread containing several hateful sentences targeting minorities to test if the platform was favoriting some groups. The post (shown below) amassed over 10,000 likes and 4,100 retweets in three days.

On December 26th, 2023, Parker[2] explained the reason he did the test (shown below), saying he wanted to confirm if X had a “favoritism censorship” for hate speech. The post received roughly 576,000 views and 1,300 likes in a day.

Some users started to reply to the Senator’s "hate speech filter" theory, joking that he might actually mean some of the things written as a “test.” For instance, on December 26th, 2023, X[3] user @ozlako shared a GIF replying to Parker’s hate comment test with a lie detector pointing out he might be lying about this particular tweet. The post (shown below) amassed over 107,000 likes and 4,700 retweets in a day.

Also on December 26th, 2023, X[4] user @memel0rdadrien replied to the “test tweet” with a GIF of a suspicious dog staring at the camera (shown below), which garnered more than 1,100 likes and 17 retweets in a day.
