There was a bit of movement on her CV, but it's always worth asking why. According to her CV, she was still working. She wasn't. She had been looking for 6 months. Hmm. I thought. It's a tough market. Maybe she sent it by mistake. Nope. She hadn't updated it. Red flags. The final straw - oh, no, I can't to an 8.30 am zoom. It's a bit early. I'll never get that time back - I could have been speaking to the dozens of other applicants who really want to work. Apathy. Offered a good salary with decent stock options. You'd think in return you'd be getting a team member that would want to put the hours in right? When said employee found out that the CEO expected 10-12 hour work days, while Saturday was your "admim" day he rejected the offer. I don't think people understand that to achieve exceptional things you need to work exceptionally hard.
