Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (also known as Foster's Home) is an American cartoon created by Craig McCracken that ran from August 13, 2004 to May 3, 2009 [1]. The show takes place in a foster home for imaginary friends, and centers around 5 friends, mainly Mac, a human boy, and Bloo, his imaginary friend.

The 5 main characters, counter-clockwise: Eduardo, Coco, Mac, Bloo, and Wilt

History

Foster's Home first started out as a television movie, being broadcasted on Cartoon Network. After meeting good reviews, Cartoon Network decided to make it a full-fledged cartoon. Foster's Home ended up spanning 6 seasons, with a total of 77 episodes [2]. The series ended with and hour long special titled "Destination Imagination".

Through the span of its run, Foster's Home has won 7 Emmy Awards, has been nominated for 10, won 5 Annie Awards, been nominated for 20, has won and been nominated for 2 Pulcinella Awards, has won and been nominated for 1 Ottawa International Animation Award, and has been nominated for a Television Critics Association Award [3].
