Someone Just Sold Me an Arby's Menu TikToks is a series of TikTok videos in which a TikToker claims to have purchased a high priced electronic device only to discover that the device is a digital Arby's menu.

Origin

On October 22nd, 2020, TikToker h1t1 shared a video of himself in the foreground and an Arby's menu in the background. He captioned the video, "Someone really just sold me a flat screen TV for $25. I go home and hook it up and an mf Arby's menu pops up." The video received more than 15 million views, 3.3 million reactions and 42,000 comments in less than one week (shown below).

That day, as the video went viral on October 22nd, 2020, TikToker @kevinkempt posted a video from the perspective of the person who sold @h1t1 the TV. The post received more than 3.9 million views, 812,000 reactions and 19,000 comments in less than one week (shown below, left).

Over the next week, @h1t1 continued to share variations and additions to the joke. Responding to a comment from the verified Arbys TikTok account, @h1t1 shared another joke. He wrote, "Lmaoo Arbys rlly think they gonna get it back." The post received more than 3.3 million views, 585,000 reactions and 5,500 comments in less than one week (shown below, center).

Others began posting variations of the meme, saying that they, too, purchased a used electronic that turned out to be an Arby's menu. For example, on October 26th, TikToker @rahimhemani shared a variation with a car that received more than 3 million views, 559,000 reactions and 5,000 comments in less than one day (shown below, right).

As of October 27th, 2020, more than 27,000 TikToks[1] used the sound from the video.
