Souvlaki Hut Gorilla refers to an Australian television commercial released by Souvlaki Hut in 2009 featuring the Australian rules footballer Anthony Koutoufides encountering a hungry gorilla that plays a Greek instrument for sandwiches. The commercial would go on to be remixed and edited into memes during a phase of popularity in the summer season of 2019.

The initial commercial gained relative popularity being featured in Chadtronic's "Cursed Commercials 2" video released in May 2019, and the original release of the commercial on YouTube has garnered over 1.7 million views in the span of approximately 14 years. As more people discussed this commercial, more YouTubers made videos commenting on the weirdness of the commercial and eventually, the meme was then edited to parody other memes of the time by several channels. Eventually, the channel Souvlaki Hut Gorilla run by YouTubers superdog logan and lukewarm margarine would create edits of this commercial, starting with "Souvlaki Hut x Driftveil City" in July of 2019. The most popular meme related to this commerical is Souvlaki Hut Gorilla's "Souvlaki Hut: Alternate Ending" video, garnering over 6,800 views over the span of 4 years.
