About
Empress Theresa is a fiction book published in 2019 by author Norman Boutin. It quickly gained an online following due to its nonsensical plot, as well as the author's bizarre campaign to promote it. It subsequently gained an ironic following, inspiring fan art and other media.
Origin
The book tells the story about Theresa Sullivan, a young girl who, after bonding with HAL, an alien force, begins to exhibit great powers. After an attempted assassination by the US president, she goes on to use those powers to resolve several world problems but mostly the book describes her receiving adulation from an adoring public.[1]
Reception
Empress Theresa received universal negative reviews from readers and internet critics alike. Many said that they couldn't even finish the book. The main criticisms focused on the many typos and spelling errors, the unlikable characters, Theresa's annoying personality, the inordinate focus on Theresa's body, unrealistic scenarios, and the dull, uneven pace of the narration.[1]

The book's author, Norman Boutin, has gained infamy among writers and reviewers alike for his book, as well as harshness towards criticism.[1] He has been compared to Doug Walker in how he handles criticism.[1]

(Show all unhelpful posts)] My sister was operated on this morning. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last Summer. She's been getting radiation and chemotherapy to prepare for the surgery. They took out the tumor today but her prognosis is very poor. The disease is 95% fatal. It would have been nice if she'd lived to see Empress Theresa the great success it should be. But thanks to you internet trolls that won't be for several more years. YOU PEOPLE ARE SCUM !!!!!!!!!!!!! You better hope God will forgive you. I won't.
