About

Super Macho Man is a character originating from the popular boxing video game series Punch-Out!! by Nintendo.. The stereotypical Californian bodybuilder, Super Macho Man is known for his overly-exaggerated encompassing muscle flexes and brash personality.[1] Online, he is primarily utilized as a rather popular visual resource for YouTube Poop Music Videos on YouTube.

Origin

Super Macho Man Made his debut appearance in the 1985 sequel to the original arcade version of Punch-Out, _Super Punch-Out!![2] Champion of the World Video Boxing Association, he is considered the most powerful opponent in the game, utilizing his insta-knockdown 360-degree Macho Punch on unsuspecting victims. Super Macho Man would later appear in every succeeding iteration of the Punch-Out!! games.

Spread

On May 18th, 2009, the fifth and latest title in the series, Punch-Out!! was released for the Nintendo Wii.[3] In this version of the game, Super Macho Man is portrayed with a highly graphical macho body, and is given a small variety of quotes that would eventually catch on as meta-fads; the most famous examples being "Release the BOGUS!" and "Crunch Time!" As a result of the exaggerated nature in the character of Super Macho Man, a wide variety of YTPMVs and MAD videos featuring his humorous phrases and moves became fairly popular, with remixes mixing him in a small variety of popular songs in such as Night of Nights and RED ZONE.[4]
