Te Vi No Rolê or I Saw You At The Party in English, refers to a Brazilian Twitter trend in which people share memes about their flashbacks or reactions when someone says the phrase "I saw you at the party." The trend started around September 2020 but resurfaced on Twitter in January 2023.

Origin

On September 28th, 2020, the Brazilian Twitter^[1] user @luclukaku retweeted a video (now deleted) showing how he usually is spotted by people when he's partying. He used the phrase "a frase 'te vi no rolê' me assusta pq geralmente eu tô assim" as a caption for a video of him dancing while holding onto the back of a moving garbage truck at night. The video received 79,500 views and 1,344 likes in three years (seen below).

Spread

Three years after the initial trend caught on, on January 8th, 2023, Twitter^[2] user @thlss__ retweeted an old post, using the same phrase and sharing a video of her drunk with a friend. The video received 1 million views and 34,000 likes in two weeks (seen below).

As the trend resurfaced on Twitter,^[3] many users began to share memes expressing how they are at parties, like @0800FABI's tweet post showing an emotional man petting a dog. The video received 1,3 million views and 78,500 likes in one week (seen below).
