Somewhere around July 2017, an Instagram user in the Instagram Wrestling Community named Ben randomly commented on another member of the IGWC’s (theheelkid) post saying “TJP is the type of dude to slap his own ass during sex”. This was the first instance of the phrase being used.

On August 5, 2017, Instagram Wrestling Community member “thatsroode” direct messaged WWE superstar “TJP” asking if he slaps his own ass during sex in which TJP responded “yes”. The phrase then caught on very quickly after this within the community and everyone within the community started making jokes about it. It is still widely said and memed throughout the community today with members of the IGWC giving TJP the reputation of being an “ass slapper”.
