About

"Trent from Punchy" is a character portrayed by Australian actor Nick Boshier.

While slightly outdated now, Trent from Punchy was the subject of a few very popular viral videos in Australia.
In 2008, a group from Sydney interviewed Trent, and filmed him talking about everything from how he and the boys "made doughies in the gravel 'n sh*t" to "girls are bitches they're like stitches you pull them out and, they open up" and "Kev is a sickoooo, kev's got a big d*ckooooo". He also was also fidgeting in his seat and rubbing his groin, giving the appearance that he was under the influence of hard drugs.

The video uploaded to Youtube on February 1st, 2008 by themactime and has over 3 million views.

The interview was exploitative, in the sense that the humor came from laughing at what most viewers would assume was a drug addict. Due to the popularity of the initial interview, not only were a number of video remixes made, but people made 'Trent from punchy' t-shirts, and a number of follow-up videos were created from other Youtube accounts, seemingly unrelated to the original.
