Uh Oh! You Found The Toothpaste!?, also known as Big And Small House Toothbrush Minigame, is a minigame from the Flash game Big and Small House from the CBeebies website. It shows the character Small, reluctant to have his teeth brushed, saying he can do it by himself before the player, Big, chases Small around a bathroom, jamming the toothbrush in his mouth to complete the objective. The scene has inspired art and videos humorously playing up its horrific implications.

Origin

The Big and Small House Flash game was first posted to the CBeebies website in 2011. In the game, you can visit the bathroom and play a toothbrush minigame in which Big has to brush Small's teeth five times. Before starting the game, Small says "Uh oh! You found the toothpaste!? Let's get one thing clear, I can brush my teeth all by myself, okay?" before Big brushes Small's teeth while Small jumps around the bathroom (scene shown below).

Spread

The scene began appearing in remix video memes in August of 2022. On August 25th, 2022, TikTok user goblina.jpg^[1] posted the key snippet of the original clip, gaining over 2.8 million views in roughly ten days (shown below).

As the scene spread on TikTok and YouTube, users began creating animations to the scene. For example, on August 30th, YouTuber Living_lizard uploaded an animation that gained over 5,000 views in one week (shown below, left). On September 5th, YouTuber Hot Minute Studios uploaded an animation that gained over 3,000 views in one day (shown below, right).

Others made drawings based on the scene. For example, on August 29th, Twitter user @GaveenoBBK^[2] posted art that gained over 4,000 retweets and 37,000 likes (shown below, left). The same day, user TsuyoXmr^[3] posted art that gained over 1,000 retweets and 9,600 likes (shown below, right).
